Grossouvria colfaxi

Taxonomy
Ammonites colfaxii was named by Gabb (1870). Its type specimen is MCZ 5287 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Railroad cut at sta. 2777, sec. 53, one mile west of Colfax, which is in a Callovian marine horizon in the Colfax Formation of California.

It was recombined as Perisphinctes colfaxi by Hyatt (1894); it was recombined as Grossouvria colfaxi by Imlay (1961).
