Cymbophora triangulata

Bivalvia - Cardiida - Mactridae

Taxonomy
Crassatellites triangulatus was named by Waring (1917). Its type specimen is LSJU 397 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chico area south of the Santa Monica Mountains (Locality 3 of Waring 1917), which is in a Cretaceous marine sandstone/shale in the Tuna Canyon Formation of California.

It was recombined as Cymbophora triangulata by Saul (1974).
