Populus sonorensis

Taxonomy
Populus sonorensis was named by Axelrod (1939). Its type specimen is UCMP 1420, 1421 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cache Peak (P-3643), which is in a Hemingfordian/Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Bopesta Formation of California.
