Taxonomy
Trilobus dilatatus was named by Brünnich (1781). It is the type species of Ogygiocaris.
It was recombined as Ogygiocaris dilatata by Henningsmoen (1960); it was recombined as Ogygiocaris dilatatus by Jell and Adrain (2002).
