Klallamornis abyssa

Taxonomy
Klallamornis abyssa was named by Mayr and Goedert (2016). Its type specimen is SMF Av 610, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton, consisting of sternal portion of left coracoid, caudal portion of left scapula, various vertebral and sternal ribs, seven thoracic vertebrae, ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Twin River Quarry, which is in a Chattian basinal (siliceous) mudstone in the Pysht Formation of Washington. It is the type species of Klallamornis.
