Dvinosaurus was named by Amalitzky (1921). It is not extant. Its type is Dvinosaurus primus.
It was assigned to Dwinasauridae by Sushkin (1936) and Carroll (1988); to Dvinosauroidea by Yates and Warren (2000); to Dvinosauria by Schoch (2013); and to Dvinosauridae by Schoch and Milner (2014).
