Taxonomy
Colospongia lenis was named by Malysheva (2018). Its type specimen is DVGI 5/2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nakhodka Reef (Malysheva collection), which is in a Lopingian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Lyudyanza Formation of the Russian Federation.
