Taxonomy
Labidosauriscus richardi was named by Modesto et al. (2018). Its type specimen is OMNH 77609, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Richards Spur, which is in an Artinskian fissure fill claystone/conglomerate in Oklahoma. It is the type species of Labidosauriscus.
