Ascendonanus nestleri
Taxonomy
Ascendonanus nestleri was named by Spindler et al. (2018). Its type specimen is MNC-TA0924, a skeleton (Articulated skeleton and integument), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Chemnitz petrified forest (Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf), which is in a Sakmarian/Artinskian dry floodplain tuff in the Leukersdorf Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Ascendonanus.
