Taxonomy
Gallirallus storrsolsoni was named by Kirchman and Steadman (2006). Its type specimen is BPB 166036, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fa'ahia site, Huahine, which is in a Holocene lagoonal sandstone in French Polynesia.
