Cathlorhynchus zengi
Taxonomy
Cathlorhynchus zengi was named by Qiao and Zhu (2015) [Dipnorhynchid lungfish with its mandible bearing a very deep lingual groove without small denticles on its posterior surface, a strong symphysis posteriorly, a visible median suture between the prearticulars of two sides, and paired small bones anterior to the prearticulars.]. Its type specimen is IVPP V18140, a partial skull (A mandible specimen with a pair of toothplates), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cathlorhynchus zengi-type locality, which is in an Emsian marine horizon in the Yukiang Formation of China.
