Gallirallus roletti (Tahuata rail)
Taxonomy
Gallirallus roletti was named by Kirchman and Steadman (2007). Its type specimen is BPBM 166447-166450, a set of limb elements (associated complete right femur, tibiotarsus, tarsometatarsus, and pedal phalanges), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hanamiai Site, Phase I, Tahuata, which is in a Holocene terrestrial horizon in French Polynesia.
