Taxonomy
Dapedius milloti was named by Sauvage (1891). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sainte-Colombe (Musée de Semur-en-Auxois coll), which is in a Falciferum marine marl in France.

It was recombined as Dapedium milloti by Maxwell and López-Arbarello (2018).
