Palaeoglossa minima

Taxonomy
Palaeoglossa minima was named by Benedetto (2015). Its type specimen is CEGH-UNC 25792, a valve (internal mold of ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro La Chilca Section Palaeoglossa–Chilcorthis Association, which is in a Darriwilian deep-water shale/marl in the Los Azules Formation of Argentina.

J. L. Benedetto 2015Shell small, roundly subtriangular. Pseudointerarea proportionally high, 12–14% of valve length, divided by narrow and deep almost parallel-sided pedicle groove. Umbonal muscle scars suboval, slightly divergent. Inner surface with scattered coarse pits irregularly distributed.
