Taxonomy
Solariella minorstriata was named by Nelson (1925). Its type specimen is UC 30655, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3810, Bus Canyon, Simi Hills, which is in a Selandian marine horizon in the Santa Susana Formation of California.
