Taxonomy
Dohrniphora mexicana was named by Solórzano Kraemer and Brown (2018). Its type specimen is SMF Be 2524a, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Rio Salado, Totolapa, Mexican amber (SMF coll.), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.
