Description as '3D' is a little optimistic.
This a standard, laterally flattened, early actinopt fossil with most of the dermal skeleton present.
Taxonomy
Frederichthys musadentatus was named by Coates (1993). Its type specimen is GLAHM V8286, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Frederichthys-type locality, which is in a Pendleian estuary/bay shale in the Manse Burn Formation of the United Kingdom.
