Taxonomy
Eocoileus gentryorum was named by Webb (2000). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fort Meade Mine, which is in a Zanclean lagoonal sandstone in the Peace River Formation of Florida. It is the type species of Eocoileus.
