Amecystis woodi
Taxonomy
Amecystis woodi was named by Broadhead and Strimple (1975) [= 1921. Amecystis sp. Ulrich and Kirk, p. 148.
= 1970. Amecystis laevis (Raymond), Parsley, pp. 192- 194, pl. 29, fig. 4.]. Its type specimen is USNM 93446 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Minneapolis, Decorah Shales, which is in a Rocklandian marine shale in the Decorah Formation of Minnesota.
