Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria (Entemnotrochus) schencki was named by Hickman (1976) [originally described as Pleurotomaria (Entemnotrochus?) schencki]. It is extant. Its type specimen is SUPTC 5771, a shell. Its type locality is Portland Cement Company Quarry, which is in an Eocene marine horizon in the Siletz River Volcanics Formation of Oregon.
