Taxonomy
Echinotiara perebaskinei was named by Lambert (1930). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.J01108 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oued Tarinkat (Calcaires inférieurs à Libycoceras), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate limestone in the Ménaka Formation of Mali.
