Taxonomy
Shurabia tanga was named by Aristov (2018). Its type specimen is PIN 5346/143, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sauk-Tanga (PIN collection 5346), which is in a Toarcian/Aalenian terrestrial siliciclastic in Kyrgyzstan.
