Taxonomy
Angusaurus dentatus was named by Getmanov (1989). It is not extant. Its type locality is Dolgiy Yar, Samara basin, which is in a Smithian terrestrial horizon in the Vetlugian Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Angusaurus.
