Taxonomy
Echinocyamus parviporus was named by Kier (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 563449 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eniwetok atoll, core E1, 2500-2510ft, which is in a Chattian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Marshall Islands.
