Taxonomy
Hemipedina microgramma was named by Wright (1858). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cornbrash, Northamptonshire, which is in a Bathonian/Callovian marine horizon in the Cornbrash Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Diademopsis microgramma by Smith (2015).
