E. Perrier 1928Cou complètement rétractile dans la carapace; carapace couverte des plaques cornées typiques: 13 discoïdales et 24 marginales; plastron comprenant onze plaques osseuses, dont 5 paires latérales, en raison de la présence d'un mésoplastron de chaque côté entre l'hyo- et l'hypoplastron, et un entoplastron impair. Os palatins contigus, non séparés par le vomer.
