Angarosphex beiboziensis
Taxonomy
Palaeapis beiboziensis was named by Hong (1984). Its type specimen is TNPO2117, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Beipozi village, Muyudian (Tianjin Institute collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Laiyang Formation of China.
It was recombined as Archisphex beiboziensis by Rasnitsyn and Jarzembowski (1998); it was recombined as Angarosphex beiboziensis by Zhang et al. (2018) and Jon et al. (2019).
