Taxonomy
Clausastrea eliasovae was named by Ricci et al. (2018). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Marsica region, Ellipsactinia Limestones, Corals and Chaetetids Unit, which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Ellipsactinia Limestones Formation of Italy.
