Taxonomy
Diplocidaris bernasconii was named by Bischof et al. (2018). Its type specimen is FPJ 5667 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hasenburg near Soyhières, which is in an Oxfordian reef, buildup or bioherm mudstone in the St-Ursanne Formation of Switzerland.
