Taxonomy
Echinocorys sumbaricus was named by Djabarov (1964). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North wing of Sumbar syncline, Isak Mountain, which is in a Danian marine horizon in the Chaldzhin Formation of Turkmenistan.
