Taxonomy
Palaeoscheda was named by Myagkova (1955) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl-l]. It is not extant. Its type is Palaeoschada crassimuralis. It is the type genus of Palaeoschadinae.
It was assigned to Calcarea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Palaeoschadinae by Rigby et al. (1994) and Senowbari-Daryan and Rigby (2015).
