Taxonomy
Stethacanthus concavus was named by Ginter (2018). Its type specimen is CM 44550, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Peru (CM collection), which is in a Gzhelian marine sandstone in the Onaga Formation of Nebraska.
