Taxonomy
Gauthieria mosae was named by Geys (1980). Its type specimen is KBIN 10178 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Heure-le-Romain, which is in a Campanian carbonate chalk in the Gulpen Formation of Belgium.
