Taxonomy
Orocystites helmhackeri was named by Barrande (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kladno, which is in a Berounian offshore shelf claystone in the Vinice Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Orocystites.
It was recombined as Caryocystites helmhackeri by Jaekel (1899); it was recombined as Heliocrinites helmhackeri by Regnéll (1945) and Regnell (1951).
