Taxonomy
Micraster uddeni was named by Cooke (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 108404 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 16768, Tequesquite Creek, which is in a Santonian carbonate chalk in the Austin Chalk Formation of Texas.
