T. N. Koren' and M. J. Melchin 2000 | Rhabdosome up to 9 mm long, fully septate. Dorso-ventral width 0.7–0.75 mm at first thecal pair, reaches maximum of 1.0–1.15 mm at fifth. Thecae sharply geniculate, sometimes with slightly thickened genicular rim. Supragenicular walls parallel to rhabdosomal axis. Excavations shallow, occupying less than one-fifth of rhabosomal width. Thecal overlap slightly less than one-half of their length. Thecae number 6–8 in first 5 mm (2TRD 1.25–1.4 mm), 12–14 in 10 mm distally (2TRD 1.45–1.65 mm). Sicula 0.24–0.28 mm wide at aperture, exposed for 0.76 mm on obverse side. Theca 11 has grown downward for 0.4 mm and turns upward 0.12 mm below sicular aperture. Upward-grown portion of th11 0.8–0.85 mm long. Virgella more than 0.6 mm long. One or two more downward-directed, straight proximal spines, up to 1.0 mm long observed, appearing to branch from base of virgella. |
