Taxonomy
Mistralazhdarcho maggii was named by Vullo et al. (2018). Its type specimen is MMS/VBN.09.C.001, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Velaux-La Bastide Neuve, which is in a Campanian fluvial claystone in France. It is the type species of Mistralazhdarcho.
