Taxonomy
Canadocystis tennesseensis was named by Parsley and Mintz (1975). Its type specimen is USNM 93378 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Evens Ferry, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Wardell Formation of Tennessee.
