Taxonomy
Blastoidocrinus nevadensis was named by Sprinkle (1973). Its type specimen is MCZ 613 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MJ-1. West-side flank beds beside the large bioherm, Meiklejohn Peak, which is in a Rangerian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Antelope Valley Formation of Nevada.
