Taxonomy
Nucula magna was named by Lea (1833) [m. kosnik taxon no: 6771].

It was recombined as Nuculana magna by Conrad (1866), Kashirtsev (1959), Popov (1959), Muromtseva (1981) and Muromtseva and Guskov (1984); it was recombined as Leda magna by Harris (1919); it was recombined as Polidevcia magna by Biakov (2007).
