Califrapana vaquerosensis

Taxonomy
Purpura vaquerosensis was named by Arnold (1908). Its type specimen is Collection of Delos Arnold, Pasadena, California, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Califrapana.

It was recombined as Thais vaquerosensis by Dickerson (1914), Anderson and Martin (1914) and English and Prutzman (1926); it was recombined as Rapana vaquerosensis by Smith (1919), Wiedey (1928) and Loel and Corey (1932); it was recombined as Califrapana vaquerosensis by Powell and Houart (2021).
