Taxonomy
Helius (Helius) qinghai was named by Wu and Krzemiński (2019). Its type specimen is CNU-DIP-QZ2017001, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Caergen Village, Duohemao Town, Zeku County, which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine shale in the Garang Formation of China.
