Taxonomy
Hungarites szentei was named by Vörös (2018). Its type specimen is HNHM PAL 2017.42.1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Öreg Hill, Vászoly, trench 14 (loose), which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in Hungary.
