Gregorymys veloxikua
Taxonomy
Gregorymys veloxikua was named by Jimenez-Hidalgo et al. (2018). Its type specimen is UMPE 626, a skull (skull and associated mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santiago Yolomécatl, Iniyoo Local Fauna, which is in a Bartonian/Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/chert in the Yolomécatl Formation of Mexico.
