Taxonomy
Wealdenbatrachus jucarensis was named by Fey (1988). Its type specimen is PIFUB 101/U70 V, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Uña, which is in a Barremian alluvial fan limestone/lignite in the La Huérguina Formation of Spain.
