Taxonomy
Ichthyosaurus larkini was named by Lomax and Massare (2017). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BRSUG 25300, a skeleton. Its type locality is Walton, west of Street, which is in a Hettangian marine horizon in the Blue Lias Formation of the United Kingdom.
