Taxonomy
Argillotherium toliapicum was named by Davies (1884). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Isle of Sheppey (BMNH collection), which is in a Ypresian marine claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Argillotherium.
