Butler 2012Erpetosuchidae differs from all other archosauriforms in dentition present only in the anterior half of the maxilla [character 17, state 1], mediolateral length of the posterior portion of the maxilla greater than the dorsoventral length [21–1] and tooth serrations absent [168–1].
