Taxonomy
Meretrix marshana was named by Anderson (1958). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 2356, ridge between Marsh Creek and Briones Valley, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Moreno Formation of California.
