Taxonomy
Acteon sullivanae was named by Murphy and Rodda (1960). Its type specimen is UCLA 28642 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 3768, Gas Point Road, which is in a Cenomanian marine sandstone in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
